Photos are many, but the ones most valuable to me are the photos of my children. I was blessed with three children. Eldest is Ching and she was born in 1972, then came Huey in 1974 and the following year, Shin was born. 2 girls and 1 boy and my wife and I felt having three is just about right and we should not add anymore after that. The children are healthy and cute. But taking care of the kids was no easy job. We were lucky that my mother was staying just a few doors away and she helped to look after the kids when we were working.

Children were growing up fast, before you knew what was happening, they were already reaching school-going age. And just when you think you want to spend a little bit more time with them and taking them for holidays, they probably tell you that they want to spend more time on school activities and homework. When school exam comes, the house has be to extra quiet - no TV, no music and no disturbances.

I was lucky enough to have got the opportunity to go overseas for my college education, thus I was determined to give my children the same kind of overseas opportunities for education. Education is more than just books and the experiences in living overseas would help broaden their outlook and probably make them better persons. Ching went to Adelaide in Australia and came back with an Accounting Degree. She later got married to Esmond Liew and both of them work in banking institutions in Kuala Lumpur. Huey went to Tasmania and completed a degree in Medical Laboratory Science. When she came back, she did a Master Degree in Statistics in University Kebangsaan Malaysia. She is now a resident of Melbourne and is working there while continuing to pursue her further studies. My youngest son, Shin went to Oxford University to do Medicine. He completed his degree in Medicine and Surgery and was working in Oxford as a Junior Medical Officer. He later moved to USA to pursue research work in Bio-Medical sciences. He has completed his USMLE and will be doing his residency program in USA.
